Operating from Paihia in the Bay of Islands we offer the opportunity to start at the top and work your way south; though pick-up and drop-off is available throughout New Zealand. When starting from our home base in Paihia, we will transfer you from Auckland Airport. An evening meal, a room for the 1st night and breakfast in our Baystay B&B, all for free so you start your holiday refreshed and relaxed.

Anatoki salmon fishing

Anatoki Salmon is a small freshwater salmon farm specialising in a superior quality freshwater salmon product. The farm also operates as a tourist attraction with a fully licensed cafe and offers salmon fishing in a beautiful environment.

The farm is privileged to be located alongside the Anatoki River as it flows out of the steep valleys of the Kahurangi National Park in Golden Bay, New Zealand.

Best thing: There is no entry fee and they provide fishing gear for free as well! You only pay for what you catch which includes the cleaning of the fish.

Anatoki salmon fishing also has a fully licenced cafe, so relax with a drink while your catch is being prepared.

They also have a POP ( park over property)  All our Bay of Islands campervans are self contained so your are more then welcome after catching your own salmon to stay the night at the parking.
Tip: buy a salade and some nice bread  in town (Takaka) and you have a great dinner with your catch of salmon!

• Educational for All: see the Salmon at different ages and stages of growth, watch salmon being processed or smoked.
• Short Walks: along the bush shaded track beside the intake canal and see trout in their natural habitat.
• Picnic Sites: come and enjoy a picnic, be it by yourself or with the family, at one of our picnic sites around the lake or in our cosy yurt.
• Swimming Hole: bring your swimming gear and swim in the Anatoki’s pristine clear waters.
