Our campervans are designed and built in New Zealand using local knowledge and ‘Kiwi Ingenuity’. Explorer campervans are fully adapted to the circumstances over here. Compact in size, this type of campervan is ideal for the often narrow and winding roads, easy to park, and surprisingly simple to drive. The Explorer is not a truck; you are allowed to drive 100KM if permitted, not holding up other traffic.

Compact but  spacious campervan

Although compact, the interior of the Explorer is surprisingly spacious! A fully equipped kitchenette, shower and toilet are ingeniously incorporated.
Unique to a camper in this format is the fixed 2 person bed above the cab, no hassle with converting the lounge every night. Take it from us; after a few days – or weeks – you’re happy the bed is always ready for use, especially when not everyone wants to go to sleep at the same time.
Being fully self contained you can free camping where permitted without harming the environment. Explorer campers are built for 2+2 people so a family with two children can stay. We say Explorer campervans are ideal for two adults.
